Over-the-Rhine does the heavy lifting in Cincinnati. Vine, Main, Race and the numbered streets between 12th and 14th hold a large share of the city's listings inside a fifteen-minute walk, and half price is the local idiom rather than a dollar off. Japp's, open on Main Street since 1879, lists half-price cocktails from 4 to 6. Pilar on East Court Street lists half-price drafts and cocktails across a four-hour block. Butcher and Barrel on Race Street lists half-price wine, and The Righteous Room on Walnut lists half-price drinks and reopens the deal from 8 PM to 2 AM on Sundays.

The flat-price entries in the neighborhood are just as low. Homemakers Bar on East 13th lists $2 High Lifes, Quán Hapa on Vine lists $3 Rhinegeist cans, and Lackman on Vine lists $2 off drafts.

Outside the basin, the deals follow the hill neighborhoods. Hamilton Avenue in Northside carries The Loon Wine Bar at 50% off wine by the glass, Ludlow Avenue in Clifton has The Upside Brew at $5 drafts, and Oakley Pub and Grill on Isabella Avenue lists $3.50 house liquor from 3 to 7.

A third of the city's listings are simply a dollar off, and almost none of them are weekends: fewer than one in seventeen includes a Saturday or Sunday.
