One block of Westport Road does a lot of work in Kansas City. Beer Kitchen at 435 lists $4 tallboys and wells from 3 to 6 on weekdays. Tin Roof at 424 lists $1 well liquor all night on Thursdays. Kelly's Westport Inn at 500 lists $2 drinks on Fridays, and Harry's Bar & Tables at 501 lists $6 sips daily from 3 to 7. Four listings, one intersection, four different ideas about what a discount is.

Citywide the default is thinner than that. Roughly a third of listings here say only that a dollar comes off, and the next most common entry is a $7 margarita with a $5 beer, which turns up at fifteen separate bars. Southwest Boulevard is where the margarita pricing actually gets interesting: Margaritas-Boulevard at 2829 lists $4.75 domestics, and Blvd Tavern at 320 lists $4 bottled beer.

Main Street carries the most entries overall, threading the Crossroads, downtown and the Plaza. Earl's Premier on East 59th lists $2 oysters with a dollar off drinks. Session Taco on East 18th lists $3 select tacos from 9 PM to close, one of the few late windows in town.

The clock is conventional and the calendar is not generous: more than half the windows open at 4 PM, and about one listing in fifteen covers a weekend day.
