Happy Hours in Sacramento, California

Sacramento's happy hours sit on a lettered grid. K Street and J Street between them hold more than forty listings, roughly a fifth of everything in the city, with L Street, 16th and R filling in around them. Two of those listings share a single address: 414 K Street holds both Tom's Watch Bar, which lists a $1 drink from 11 AM to midnight every day, and Cabana Club.

Long windows are the norm rather than the exception. The Cabin on R Street lists a dollar off beers, wells and wine from 3 PM to 2 AM, Monday through Thursday. Dive Bar on K lists $8 cocktails and $5 select beers across the same kind of stretch. Against all that, Betty on T Street keeps its window to seventy-five minutes, 4:30 to 5:45, and then stops.

The weekend is genuinely live here. Close to three listings in ten include a Saturday or Sunday, a share matched only by San Francisco and Long Beach, which makes Sacramento one of the few inland markets where a Sunday plan works.

Midtown carries the interesting one-offs: Alaro Craft Brewery on Capitol Avenue lists $5 pints all day Tuesday.
