One street does most of the work in Columbus. Seventy-five of the bars listed here sit on North or South High Street, a line running from German Village through downtown and the Short North and up past campus into Clintonville. Nothing else is close; West 3rd Avenue in Grandview is second with twelve.

Noir Lounge on West Cherry Street runs half off the entire bar, Friday only, 7 to 10.

That single-day habit is more pronounced here than in comparable cities. Miner 49er on West 3rd lists $3 off per person all day Tuesday through Thursday, Flint Station lists $4 seltzers all day on three separate days, and McClellan's Pub on Sawmill Road puts its whole offer on Monday.

The rest of the shape is conventional: 4 PM opens the most windows, 3 PM is close behind, most close at 6, and fewer than one listing in ten touches a weekend. If you want the beer-hall version, Hofbrauhaus on Goodale Boulevard lists $4 half liters on weekday afternoons.
